Dave’s Flat – Bishops Waltham

 

​I’m in the Merchant Navy and my flat was left empty most weeks I was away and sometimes for long periods when I was at sea. The thought of it paying the mortgage, electricity and council tax continually annoyed me, but I didn’t have the ability to even consider letting it as I didn’t have anyone to manage it or hand over the keys! I was also concerned about being able to come back to it whenever I needed to – something that wouldn’t be possible with a traditional let.

​A friend recommended me ‘Prepared 4 Air’, so I contacted them for to talk through renting through Airbnb. David, Matt and Louise's house keeping team put me straight at ease as they explained their process. I couldn’t believe it was so easy.  They now look after all aspects of my flat – I just drop them a line to know when I’ll be around. After some initial groundwork (buying new sheets, etc.) it could not have been simpler.  The only way I know someone has stayed is because the money has arrived in my bank account. It’s a no brainer!

​Sophie's Studio – Southampton

​When in Southampton I am usually work from home, but travel a lot for work and holidays.  I thought why not make the most of it whilst I was away.  It might pay for my next holiday.

​I went on a trip to the Hong Kong for a month, and during that time the income from my place more than covered the cost of the flights. The team at ‘Prepare 4 Air’ did all the necessary stuff to get it ready and they even provided clean sheets and sorted some of the outstanding maintenance (thank you so much!) This all happened seamlessly and as my flight was really early in the morning, I wasn’t able to really prepare my flat for guests, cleaners were ‘flown’ in and were able to complete a deep clean before rental began. This was great for my reviews!
